Let me first point out how peeved I am that this is still regularly front-page news. What is largely keeping it there is the efforts of a handful of nutters who seem determined to claim that a humble car crash was something far more sinister.

    Conspiracy Theories 'R' Us!

    So where are we now...

Why is it that all the actual evidence in favour of it being a tragic (but normal) accident is still around, but all the evidence of sinister dealings has dissappeared? I guess that is that why they are called Conspiracy Theories.

I honestly thought that this was going to be a thread about a restored SdKfz 6/1!

Indeed! I was shocked to find this thread on here - honestly, who does give a flying four-letter word?

Conspiracy theories are a sad business. Especially because they're so predictable, despite the utter fallacy of every predicition.

a just watched a gret thing on the discovery channel where a brit team busted the beloved " magic bullet " and "pristine bullet " of the jfk conspirecy buffs . they built two human torsos complete with simulated bones ,lung cavitys and neck sinews , then fired a 6.5mm carcano round of the same lot and date as used by oswald with an alnmost identical carbine ...through the neck of the kenedey torso in thence through connolys shoulder ,wrist and thigh .

seven wounds and because the jacketed bullet did not strike any large bones then or now ,a relatively pristine ,spent bullet . thereby laying to rest one of the most favorite peices of evidence of the jfk assaination conspiracy theorists , the original jfk bullet was neither magic nor was it pristine .the team replicated the shot three times .

at least the dallas jfk shooting conspirecy theory was quite plausible . the princess di car crash conspirecy was ludicrous from the outset . it is not hard to kill someone in their car and its been done many times by
    a. planting a small bomb inside or under the car ,or a large rcd bomb somewhere on the path the car must follow , or
    b. pulling alongside them at a red light and shooting them with a hail of bullets , this is by far the simpleist and most common method

cutting brake lines or tampering with steering controls or chaseing them into abuttments is way too uncertain and is used only in stupid movie screenplays ..
