I don't recall that they actually had elections in the USSR and as matter of fact despite Soviet rhetoric to the contrary, anti-black racism was rampant in the USSR. Of course some people might believe that Che Guevra was a socialist revolutionary hero, rather than an Argentinian upper class snob testing out his fascistocommunist insurgency theories amongst Bolivian peasant lab rats as he would have viewed the indigenous population and in that case they probably would see some similarity between Dick Cheeney and Leonid Brezhnev. Has the fact that he actually was an idealist who strogly believed in socialism (not communism mind you) and who was fighting against a dictator came up to you?
