Once read a book bout a French resistance fighter who was training some 15 yr old boys. They came across a small armed convoy. He ordered them "not" to shoot as they were way outgunned. One of em couldn't resist & opened fire. A big firefight erupted. When it was over, only the Resistance fighter was alive. He crept forward carefully & fininshed off the barely alive remaining Germans, then had a look aroung to see what of value was on board the vehicles. He found a chest full of gold. He buried it, then came back after the war & retrieved it. A nearby village was completely wiped out by subsequent interrogating Germans. But they knew nothing. A good book. True story.
