but it is something to think about and further research if possible via the Archiv's at Pro in England and the BA/MA archiv's in Germany. Just sent to me via a friend. Arab agents in the Jordon valley in 1944. KG 200 using a B-17 (probably a Ju 390's). 2 operations the aim to organize resistance movement(s) in Palestine. At least 2 agents were caught by the British Forces shortly after landing. There are hints to these ops. in several documents of the "SY", the intelligence service of the Hagana underground organization. Further research into the UK PRO archiv's.... KV 2/400, 401 and 402. Kurt Wieland, alias Heinz Hecht, Frederick Baksen and Abu Yassim: German Wieland was a leader of a 5-man German / Arab unit, parachuted into Palestine in September 1944 and captured shortly after. The object of the kommando, jointly operated by German Intelligence and their protege, the Berlin based Mufti of Jerusalem was, through contact with local Palestinians and the supply of cash and arms, to organize local resistance activity, including sabatoge. Hmmmmmmm food for thought eh ? ! E
Good stuff Erich, and to modernize what you just said, get this: Some of the dead "taliban" fighters were Chinese volunteers--supposedly. Looks like the jerks are up to their old tricks (AGAIN) remember what they did in Korea? We blew up a Chinese Communication Center in Kabul (spelling?)
Yep, and the Chinese Govt protested the killing of their "Technicians" after they swore up and down left and right, that there WERE NO CHINESE IN AFGHANISTAN. You know--they should be pissed at the taliban freaks--the taliban freaks destroyed two Bhudda statues that were over 1,500 years old--JUST BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT TOLERATE ANOTHER RELIGION--stupid ****in punks.
Me too, and I think this is a little "lesson" to the commies that America isnt playing around this time-unlike clitton kissing chinese butts.
Carl : It will be interesting as well as to what happens with our so-called Mid-Eastern allies as we attack through Ram a dan in November.......yes ? E
It WILL be very interesting, as I believe we dont have any REAL mideast allies--just the ones who are struggling with the tallyban, and only because ther are in a life or death struggle. Also, you have to know that Iraq is guilty as heck--hussein knows he is next.
Carl : and what about our dear friend in Libya.....Khadafi ? Anyway forget those losers, KG 200 has to be one of the most mis-understood Luftwaffe units, as most materials weritten on them is untter nonsense, even after the war the myths that have been perpetrated about the unit are pretty incredible, like the unit had a fallshirmjäger kompanie assigned to it to drop agents and support them in their missions......baloney ! Dropping agents-yes !. Another thing is that I know one member personally and that is almost all I can say about him as he has saaid things that have to be kept secret until after he dies. He flew a Bf 109 on the Ost front and got away with some pretty dramatic and daring feats..... E
I think Kahmonkey is also breathing his last few gasps of air, and the prick knows it. I dont want your Luft friend to pass away anytime soon, but can hardly await hearing about his info. I imagine they were one heck of a group of guys though. Must have been sort of the Germans version of the C.I.A. or Air America. [ 28 October 2001: Message edited by: C.Evans ]
Good morning friend ! This time change has really got my head in a whirl. Up at 4 thinking I needed to go to work.....geez, not yet anyway. you are correct, I believe our guys have got the leading terrorists all on a hit list and it is just a matter of time before they get popped. Too bad about the northern alliance crying in their beer about us being slow to take out Taliiiiiiiban positions. Geez.... Back to the subject matter, yes I would say KG 200 is as close to or at least somewhat could be compared to the CIA, being equipped with all sorts of subversive type of machines and people plus doing all sorts of strange and bizarre missions to throw off the Allies. As my friends flubuch and other docs are with his family and a close friend of mine which has mentioned he is keeping everything secret, I am hoping when the time comes that those materials will be released. I was looking through another KG 200 itme which is barely readable and from back in the 1960's which shows a terrible pic and a caption with several sentances mentioning the use of some strange/weird 6 engined bomber type from the Junkers manufacturer during 1943. E
Me too. I cant stand the time changes, I wish they would leave it alone. There are two states that refuse to the time changes--I wish Texas would make #3. One thing I heard from a Military buddy of mine is: that when a Ranger or Green Beret offs a taliban turd, they place a photo of one of the Sept 11th WTC victims on the dead taliban. Kind of riminiscent of the Vietnam War when a Green Beret or someone from an elite unit, would place an Ace of Spades or a "calling Card" of somekind somewhere on a dead VC or NVA soldier. I think that makes for great Psyops. Indeed that Luft unit is something. To think that im sure many of them deserved the Knights Cross, but were never awarded it--at least in public and for whatever it was they did-could not be acknowledged.
Carl : The unit was very strange this is a fact. Operating all types of a/c and of course all sorts of hidden missions to the rear gurad lines of the enemy. flying B-17,s and B-24,s at night to confuse and disrupt communications, and trying to find out the whereabouts of secret installations and airfields, etc. One unit that needs an incredible in-depth study, but will it ever happen. Well maybe like I said once all it's veterans are gone.......too bad. E
CONGRADULATIONS, you have the honor of having my 2000 thousandth posting as an answer!! you win a bag of soft batch cookies Mmmmmmm coooookies. It is a shame, that those vets from that unit cant really say anything to hear their stories?????? leaves one drooling, just like over a Chicken Fried Steak dinner at The Red Barn Steakhouse in San Antonio, Texas. (Not intended as a shameless plug) You know--I think it would be a great book idea for someone to write a serise of fiction books on KG 200. Hint-hint.
EEEeeeeeeeeekkkkkkssssss ! Another book project Carl....ugh ! It would be nice, but again the time restrictions. Too many letters to write for sure. Question is my NJG 6 materials getting through for Otto to archiv ? I cannot seem to get back on the General discussion back logs this late morning. And a BIG congrats on the 2000 + posting sir. Good job again. smiles straight across. E
Much appreciated and thanks I havent had any trouble sending stuff to Otto, and will be sending the copies of all my RKT photo out tomorrow--which they will have to be signed for--just in case some mail thieve decides they want copies od all my photos.
Still wish I had a bloody scanner for my pics. This would make things oh so much easier in the long run. Maybe Christmas as I mentioned earlier. E
Much cheaper too (sigh) Between stuff for this forum and the Wehrmacht-Awards forum--and some friends--tis gettin a bit expensive but worth it
Carl : I get really tired of having to drive across town and try to fit my schedule around somebody else's to send out scans.....what a pain in the butinski ! For KG 200 I think www.history.net ?, may have something on the unit. I picked something up off the net on the unit 3 years ago and of course stuffed it somewhere. E
I know how you feel. I get tons of stuff--print them out and stuff them somewhere till I get lucky enough to find them again. and as you well know--the same goes for addresses sometimes
