Because he'll buy one and end up as a grease spot just like this guy. http://www.komonews.com/news/local/Plane-crash-may-have-been-1st-flight-272963081.html
Can't say I can fathom why some one would buy a plane that cost less than a car. Besides, I don't think George plays with "scale models." However, if he did get a "kit" plane, he'd go 1:1. http://www.thundermustang.com/kits-for-sale/
Don't tell George Patton? Hmmm, you might as well just say "George Patton, OPEN THIS!".... But your concern for my safety is touching. I exceed 50kph on a normal basis. Depending on vehicle, I do not exceed either 60kph, 80kph or 110kph because of power limitations.... I build scale models, but I do not play with them. At least not when people are watching.... I've never been that interested in getting my pilot's license but if I did I'd want a nice Huey gunship to go with it. A little expensive for me, but it would be a nice way to beat the traffic on the morning commute. Plus you could blast out the soundtrack from Rambo: First Blood Part 2 as you're buzzing the highway. As an aside, I know a guy that wanted to get his pilot's license and buy a Cessna. He was convinced you could buy an airworthy secondhand aircraft for somewhere in the $10k-20k range.
I would have thought the flight of the Valkyrie belting out of the Huey would have been more you : ) Yes...ride of the Valkyrie : )
I would obviously have a playlist. Rambo first, Ride of the Valkyries next. But you do really need a fleet of Hueys and Cayuses for the full "Ride of the Valkyries" effect. I'm big on historical accuracy...
License, hell! You won't be in the air long enough to get pulled over. AND DAMMIT! Who talked? Was it Poppy? I'll bet it was Poppy...
If that's the case you won't even use the "R" word (Rambo). Not only are the stories incredibly farfetched, but I went to jump school with several guys that were extras in the "Firstblood: Part II" movie and they had absolutely no use for the actor that played the "R" man. They had been really stoked initially, then they got on set and around him, the actor that played the "R" man. He wouldn't associate with or even deign to speak to or even acknowledge them. He was purportedly a real prima donna and constantly threw temper tantrums over the wrong kind of bottled water and other such minor things. Their biggest complaint, point of derision and biggest surprise was that he was such a big wussy physically and whined and cried all the time. They had absolutely no use for him.
But but but....you mean the 'Rambo' series isn't based on a true story? I was assured that the scripts -- down to the exploding arrowheads and driving a tank into a helicopter -- are 100% factual.... I've heard similar things from a variety of people. I'm not a fan of the man himself.
Great, now I suppose that the "Expendables" movies aren't true either ! Had a friend from work who built a 'kit plane' and it looked kinda like a Mustang without the 'scoop' underneath (Teeney-Two I think it was). He dive-bombed' me once while I was tilling the garden. Didn't need to add fertilizer that year.
