I've just finished reading Braithwaite's 'To Sir with Love' about his time as a negro teacher in early 1950s London. One of his themes is racism, which he faced quite a bit. This was confronting because he hadn't faced it in the RAF. He doesn't write much at all about this time, so I did some research and it seems he was a spitfire pilot and flew missions over Europe. There is very little else though? I was wondering for starters if anyone knew what squadron he flew with?
