. On the subject of non-exploding bombs, in an article , an argentinian pilot of the aeronavale said that they were coming in low and fast , straight at the target location " you could see the missiles coming head on and had a split second to avoid them , then a quick climb and dive on the target , we knew we were too close , but to be higher was a very bad idea , then shoot straight away and fast , putting after burner on , with a couple of missiles on our tail , no weaving , just hope they run out of propellant before they get us " the british army discovered that the blowpipe AA missile was useless , but the milan AT was great for bunker busting and a big hit with the troops , the tanks used were the scorpion light tanks I believe and had such a low ground pressure that it was common for the crew to climb off it and sink to their ankles in the bog , I don't think they fired in anger but could be wrong there .
Some British armour did see action the scorpions I think. The Blues and Royals acted in support of an infantry assault.
Correct, although the Brits also had the Scimitar there as well. Both did well on the tundra as long as they were careful when they turned. Otherwise, their treads would tear through the surface tundra and there was that bottomless bog just waiting for them. Talk about motivation for caution!
