    They were. The World Devastators appeared in the Star Wars: Dark Empire comic book miniseries. Luke took up studying the Dark Side of the Force under the tutelage of the reborn Emperor Palpatine, which definitely worried his friends, as well it should. 8)

    And here is the info, as promised. ;)

    ECLIPSE SUPER STAR DESTROYER:

    Eclipse-class Star Destroyer Schematics
    NAME/TYPE: Eclipse-class Command Ship
    DESIGNER/MANUFACTURER: Kuat Drive Yards
    COMBAT DESIGNATION: Battleship
    LENGTH: standard 16,000 meters, prototype 17,500 meters
    CREW: 708,470 crew; 4,175 gunners
    PASSENGERS: 150,000 troops
    SPEED RATING: 40 MGLT
    HYPERDRIVE: x2
    HULL RATING: approximately 65000 RU
    SHIELD RATING: approximately 120000 SBD
    CONSUMABLES: 10 years
    WEAPONS: 550 Taim & Bak Heavy Laser Cannons;
    500 Taim & Bak Turbolaser Batteries;
    75 Borstel Ion Cannon Batteries;
    100 Phylon Tractor Beam Projectors;
    10 Sienar Fleet Systems Gravity Well Projectors;
    Axial Superlaser (Planet-Destroyer)*

    STARFIGHTER SQUADRONS: 50 TIE Interceptor Squads, 8 TIE Bomber Squads

    PLANETARY ASSAULT TROOPS: 100 AT-AT walkers; 150 AT-ST walkers;
    5 Pre-fabricated Garrison Bases

    OTHER ONBOARD CRAFT: 40 Lambda-Class Imperial Shuttles;
    35 Assault Shuttles

    * The Planet-Destroying Superlaser on the Sovereign and Eclipse Star Destroyers is not capable of completely destroying planets. The Death Star's superlaser consisted of eight large superlasers which, when focused into a single beam, was able to destroy planets. The Eclipse and Sovereign have only one of these eight lasers; though, thanks to recent breakthroughs in laser technology, this single laser has two-thirds the power of the Death Star's complete laser. The superlaser are capable of bringing down even the strongest planetary shields, and can level whole continents and sear the planet's surface, but cannot destroy the planet.

    Very funny, Roel. 8)

    The text means, of course, "recent" in the context of the Stars Wars timeline.

    You're welcome. ECLIPSE is one ship I would definitely not want to get into a fight with. :eek:

    A nice enough ship, but the computer definitely left something to be desired, from the crew's point of view! ;)

    Corp.

    Eddie is the ship board computer of the "Starship Heart of gold". The first starship to utilise the infinate improbability drive. This allows you to travel to any point in the known universe, at any time in history. Sadly the outcome is entirely random, but finately possible.
    It is of course the creation of the genius brain of the sadly departed and sorely missed Douglas Adams, from his radio series "The Hitch-Hikers guide to the Universe". Accept no substitutes, books, T.V series etc. The original radio recordings are available on C.D.

    Cheers Dave.

    My dad likes the Hitch Hikers guide to the galaxy also. I have listened to a few of the tapes and I found them very funny.

    While there is a topic loosly related to this, were there any Tie-defenders on the Executor ever?

    Thank you, David. I did read the "Hitchhiker's Guide" series, and Mr. Adams had a very funny and creative, if rather weird, mind. :D

    If any one is interested, as an example of Douglas Adam's humour. Here follows my favourite Hitch-Hiker quote.

    Ford Prefect: "The journey into Hyperspace is unpleasantly like being drunk."

    Arthur Dent: "What's unpleasant about being drunk?"

    Ford Prefect: "Ask a glass of water!"

    What about the man who hated rain, and had organized rain into 612 different kinds, and hated every kind, while the rain loved him and followed him around wherever he went for he was the Rain God?

    This is one fragment of the story my friends made me read. :D
