I received dad's ( John H Kimzey) worksheet today and I need help. Trying to post it, but it's too large. Working on it...Thanks in advance.

    1) What does ASF W M 5 V mean?
    2) What are stoppages?

    3) Any ideas why EF is handwritten on the left side near top?
    4) or why Joe is typed at the top left, all lowercase?

I'm thinking ASF is Army Service Forces from when he returned stateside. It's not as blurry in person. Had to shrink it to attach it. My eyes aren't what they used to be either. Thanks for taking a look though.

You are likely correct about ASF. "Stoppages" would be stoppages in the soldier's pay, probably as a result of some sort of discipline or punishment.

Well, he must not have had too much fun since one is for 55 cents and the other $2.00. Lol Looking over the form, I'm wondering if it means something else. I googled it and found my own thread. Lol Anyway, I'm gonna take another look later today when I have time. Can't tell what it says to the left of the dollar amounts.

Found out the $2 was for gov't ldry, must mean laundry. The over simply says G P L D. it is spaced like that. Don't know what that means? More digging. :)

I didn't mean to imply that discipline was the only possibility, though in rereading my post it does come across that way.

It's ok. I didn't take offense. That's why I made a joke about it. A stoppage could be a fine as well. I found out it covered a lot of things.
