You did. Unfortunately, I overstated the position of the Sox on August 1 as well. It does not matter, anyway, as the Angels are positioned to embarrass the AL East in the playoffs. They got Teixera for pennies on the dollar.
Off by more than a week at this point! And, now that Joba is on the DL, the Yankees sun is setting. Santa won't be coming to this Island of overpaid boys this October!
Time is ticking but there's 3 other starters due to come off the dl soon. Wang,Hughes, & don't laugh, Pavano. Well actually go ahead & laugh. Anybody that misses a season due to a pulled ass muscle deserve's to be laughed at. As for Joba, he'll still contribute at the end. The Yanks are just keeping pace with the other 2. Somebody is due to go on a skid. The wildcard can't be relied upon with the Chisox & Twins duking it out.
For you Yankee fans, have you noticed that if the Bronx Bombers lose tonight (which is a stretch, as they are playing Seattle), they will drop into 4th place in the AL East behind the Jays? Hmmmmm????
Let's see how CC handles the pressure of NYC and whether Burnett stays healthy before you Yankee fans start to celebrate. With all that money invested, the Yankees are going to be a highly pressured group this season. And, as any Patriots fan will tell you, one unfortunate injury can really mess up a season . . . .
What a wonderful sentiment. The only two teams in sports that I dislike more than the Yankees are the New York Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. If none of them ever wins another championship, it will be fine with me.
I'm a life-long Phillies fan who is old enough to remember 1980. How sweet it is to be able to say again "World Series Champions". They open their defense on Sunday and I can't wait. Keep the Sawx and the Yankees. I'm a National League fan, where real baseball is played.:homeplate:
So unclassy...you don't see non-RedSox fans posting in the 'RedSox Fan' thread! *coughBostonTrashcough*
