For the love of history and solving mysteries

Hello everyone!
You can call me Hackett, everyone does...
I love WWII history, especially the Pacific theater. However, my main impetus is to solve a family mystery and provide details that will settle all arguments if necessary (and arguing with 70 people produces many many types of arguements). I haven't found a thread about my grandfather's unit, so I will start one I guess.
Other than reading and watching things about history, I like to sing and play euchre (I have yet to meet a historian who doesn't). I am not employed as a historian, but when they create a job for me to research things I want to research and then listen to me talk about it...sign me up for that!!
Anyway, thought I would just drop a note to say hi to everyone!
