Anyone used the Forces War Records site to get information? What is it likely to provide me with. I don't know whether it's worth subscribing for a month or if it will tell me basic information that I already know?

Thanks. I suspected that I'd probably already know what they would tell me. What can I expect to find out if I pay £30 to the Government for my relatives service records?

All his postings, dates and places etc. during his service, plus if hospitalised etc if applicable. Plus any medals he was entitled to. Once you know where and when he served, you can then find war diaries to see what his unit or units were up to.
