Former USSR archives may reveal Wallenberg's fate...

MOSCOW (AP) -- Raoul Wallenberg, who saved tens of thousands of Hungarian Jews before vanishing into Soviet captivity, may have been alive after the official 1947 date of his death - but only for a few days, says the chief archivist of Russia's counterintelligence service.

I´d believe they would have given the details already in 1991 as so many other "secrets" were given away when the USSR was no more. The article does not seem to do that or did I miss something?

 

Anyway, the Red Army either Killed him or sent to prison.
