    Hi and greetings

I'm not Aussie born but been here a long 56 years. I hail from from the George Cross Island in the Med. Sea. Remember the German blitz very well as I was 11yrs of age when the Stukas came over to sink the carrier HMS Illustrious but failed. Remember that day very clearly.

Never been in the Services but worked with R.E.M.E. as a sparky on all types of guns, searchlights etc in every Fort all over Malta.

    See you later and Thanks.;)

    Welcome Aboard TDC! :S!

Four years of my youth were spent in Melbourne, great city! My brother is currently living in Sydney. I've never been to Malta, but I'd love to hear more about your experiences there sometime.

    Thanks guys

I can write a book (my story) about WW2 in Malta as experienced by a very young teenage kid. I love writing and can tell a good story but somehow I never got to do it. The Italians attacked Malta on my 10th birthday. The Germans followed in Jan 1941.

Maybe its time I wrote my book.

One thing I need to tell you. War, air attacks, bombs and landmines never frightens young kids. What kids worry about is not having something to eat.

    I'll be back.
