Ok, so the deadline has passed, and we have a grand total of half an entry...

    CSP?
    Christian?

Unless something (even a simple request for extra time) is forthcoming, we will have to declare Oli & Panzerman the winner by default, even if his entry turns out to not meet the requirements.

    AC-1 “Scarab”

After a quick look at the specifications, the engineers put up some basic requirements they felt would be needed to win.

    - A wheeled vehicle would be used.
    - Which had a gun that can comfortably defeat the M.11/39.
    - Could double as APC and do police duty.

We decided to base the new vehicle on the Scammel SV1S tractor.

First, we looked at guns available, and what caught our attention immediately was the 2 pdr, which was relatively small (40 mm) and would fit in the A13 turret without difficulties. Can alternatively be fielded with a 3,7 inch close support howitzer.

    The 2 pdr has a penetration, at 1000 meters, of. 40 mm @ 30 °.
M.11/39 has max 30-14 mm of frontal armor, (mostly 14 mm).

The vehicle is thus able to deal with the opposition easily at ranges beyond 1000 meters. It also was decided to install a coaxial 7.92 mm Besa MG, for anti infantry work.

The Scarab has a rear mounted engine, 6x6 drive, and can be fitted with tracks on the rear wheels for really soft ground. It has a crew of 3, and can carry up to 7 prisoners (for police work) or serve as an APC and carry 5 troops with equipment. It also includes a large searchlight (shown) and a radio. We opted for a diesel engine, which provides plenty of torque and good fuel economy.

    Specifications:

    Dimensions: See drawing
    Weight: Approximately 15 tons
    Engine type: Diesel, 250 horsepower
Main armament: 2 pdr / 3,7 inch howitzer (2 pdr shown)
Secondary armament: 7.92 mm Besa MG, coaxial
    Drive: 6x6
    Suspension front: Vertical volute spring
    Suspension rear: Walking beam.

    Sorry, haven't had the time!

I'll just propose my last design, even though it's probably a bit overkill.

Probably relatives of yours  6'6" the one with the LMG.
(I must have scaled them incorrectly - or Ricky's troops were well fed during childhood)

    Well, this fizzled.

I'll give until Friday for Christian & CSP to post if they want to, otherwise team Britain (Oli & Panzerman) win.

I'll be making the game -- on my own, so Oli can play. Hope I'll get some more submissions than this one did
