Game 5 June 1944 The Kaganevian Free States – Armored Warfare HQ The Kaganevian Free States face an imminent invasion by the United Essian States. We are in need of a self propelled gun to be used in defensive action. Conditions Our borders consist of large, mountain and valley regions, interspersed with light forests and marshy areas, with little or no cover at all. Visibility is excellent, and long combat ranges are to be expected in every way. Infrastructure around this enormous area (known as the Evercold Dales) is minimal. Roads are often no more than around 3 meters wide; they are also muddy. In addition, many of the rivers (under 1 meter depth) don’t have bridges, and must be forged across. The enemy The UES has a sizeable and powerful armored force, the bulk of it consisting of T-34-76 tanks and SU-85 self propelled guns. Our plan The enemy can be expected this fall. We are planning on fighting a long-range, mobile defensive war in the Evercold Dales. It is imperative to us that the AFV is not too heavy to be used on our roads, and is operable in mud and wet conditions). In addition, it should be mechanically reliable. The specifications required are: - A maximum weight of no more than 20 tons - A maximum width of no more than 2.85 meters. - A minimum gun diameter of 75 mm - A minimal road speed of 50 km/h - A minimal off road speed of 25 km/h Since the enemy outnumbers us, our only chance to destroy them is by range and mobility. The vehicle will be at all times be protected by a guard of our excellent mountaineer troops, and will not need close defense capabilities. *EDIT: If there are any questions, or any areas you feel I have not covered, please feel free to ask!
Ricky and I will team up again for this one. By the way, thanks for the praise for the artwork everyone! It was wholly underserved if you ask me...
Since i'm already partialy prepared for this anyway, i'll go ahead and throw my hat in the ring for America.
Actually I take that back, this can easily spark into problems with people calling bias should I win. It'll put undue pressure on Panzerman.
I'm happy to assume that Panzerman is a fair judge. Danyel, please play - you design some good stuff! You owe it to Kaganevia
I'll take Britain again. Roel wrote Not true, like I said, if it was on artwork you'd win every time (at least when I judge  ) and I think that it's hard to discount the artwork and look at the specs when the artwork is as good as yours - you make it dificult for the judges. Oops just thought of a new topic - will post it when I've sorted out the wording.
