    I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I just read that General Hal Moore has passed away. For those who do not know him, he commanded the unit depicted in the movie "We Were Soldiers" that was taken from the book "We Were Soldiers, Once and Young".

    He was 94 years old.

    I watched this earlier , US TV prog from 1993.
