I was browsing on Youtube when I came across this newsreal on discovered torture chambers found under the Eiffle Tower that belonged to the Gestapo and the SS. It was claimed that victims (Some included French resistance fighters) were blinded, than tied to a stake and shot, and some were burned alive. I'm not sure if this is allied propaganda or actual facts so any historical insight would be much appreciated

    Here is the video

I have never heard anything about this. It seems like an unlikely place as it is so public. Logic would indicate torture would be done in a prison unless one wanted to intimidate the locals. I do not think the Germans would want to inflame the Parisians any more that they already have. I realise it was supposed to be underground, still one must gain entry and remove victims.

Pure speculation on my part. The Gestapo headquarters was well known was it not. Why here?

I think the title is misleading. The video says the site was "almost in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower". "Almost in the shadow" does not mean "under" the tower, nor does it mean adjacent to it. It seems like this was probably close to the tower, but not under it. Where was the Gestapo HQ in Paris located? If it was close to the tower, the complex shown in the video could have been an extension of it.

the Stapo HQs were rue de xantrailles which was relatively close. There were many more torture places that could be involved too, for instance the infamous Fresnes prison, south of Paris. The Eiffel Tower quote is symbolic because it's famous around the world, what matters is the idea not the exact geogrpahy, as for someone who lives 5000km away , places I mentionned are "right under the Eiffel Tower" .

Precision is of no relevance in this case, IMHO. It doesn't matter so much whether that specific torture chamber was an inch or a mile away from the Eiffel Tower. That was yet another chamber where inhumane, violent, ruthless, evil Nazi system has caused inmmeasurable pain to honest people who have resisted them. I am happy to live in a world safe from murderous, sadistic Nazi trud.
