Hi to all, i´ve read about developing glass ammo in Japan and found that the Wehrmacht made their experiments with it in 1936 too. The Wehrmacht never used it, but it is written that the japanese tested them up to a caliber of 20mm. Has anybody better informations to it? Thank you in advance
I found out that it was a japanese engineer who made the development and his name was Mr.Gasda. The ammo should be used as a exercise ammo.
I don't know mush about this ammo, but I can imagine how much damage it could do to a body if it held up to the heat generated by the gun powder. I am interested to know more about it though. Here is an interesting forum string about such bullets.
Indeed interesting jaguwar. The wooden bulltes were for training purposes only and as far as i know they didn´t make a long way out of the bore. So if they were really used to defend by somebody, he must have been very desperate and out of the real ammo.
It seems like the bullets didn't do that much hurt, unlike our modern day simm rounds. Those little paint/chalk round that I practice with in the Army can cause some real pain. I know that once you are shot with a few of those you don't want to continue advancing. Think Paintballs but made to shoot out of M4 rifles.
