    The only thing is I don't like the look of the British Battleship, But that was a fault of over 60 years ago, so I'm not complaning.

    PS-I downloaded the heavy Sprite pack first, but now I think the Small sprite pack is better. Will I need to uninstall the heavy Sprite pack?

    Hi Joe,

    I'm pretty sure that if you just install the small sprite pack it will just overwrite the heavy sprite pack sprites.

    I'm sure that i have done that myself a couple of times.

    There is a preview available of heavy sprite pack 10.03.

    Hart, is it possible to use the converter on the sprite packs to make it playable with HoI2?

    Hi Hawkeye90,

    That's a good question. Let me go and ask the graphics specialists on our site and i will get back to you a.s.a.p.

    All of the sprites for DMP DD work in HOI2 except for the bomber sprite.

    The converter program will not solve this.

    What you need to do is this:

    The bomber file in DD is named T-BOMBER etc etc

    The bomber in HOI2 is named T-TACTICAL TACTICAL BOMBER etc etc

    All files for the sprites files must be changed for the bomber to T-TACTICAL TACTICAL BOMBER.

    These files are located in:

    gfx
    map
    units <==
    bmp <==

    and the palette file is in:

    gfx
    palette <==

    change file name to T-TACTICAL TACTICAL BOMBER

    That is the only file that we know that you need to change. This means you can use all of the DD sprites in HOI2 and just change the BOMBER sprite file names to T-TACTICAL TACTICAL BOMBER.

    I hope this answers your question.

    :)

    Hi Hawkeye90,

    Did the previous post help, or do you still need further information?

    Yep, I understand your instructions. How would I change the file so that I could edit it, being that it is an application file? Thanks

    Right, fancied invading the US from Japan (you know the feeling) so thought I'd play Doomsday on the missus's laptop, as it's faster.
    Trouble is it's got a widescreen and the game looks fuzzy and has no 1280 resolution option.
    Fuzzy=not playable to my eye, very annoying.

    Found a rather complex hack involving some kind of 'hex editor' but got lost in a morass of techno confusion and swearing. :monitor::stabfrenzy:

    Anybody know of an easy, preferably self-executing, hack to fix the game to work properly in 1280 resolutions?

    Cheers,
    Adam.

    I've been thinking. Does the chap who made these have anything to do with the Blitzkrieg games? I'm a bit skeptical about it being original work, as most of the look much like their Blitzkrieg counterparts. The Sherman, for instance, looks 100% like the M4 Sherman from Blitzkrieg. And also, what is the Landing craft from Bf1942 doing in this game?

    Sorry about this, but I am sure he must have something to do with Blitzkrieg, or there's been a bit of copying going on.

    However, the planes and ships are definitely original.

    EDIT-The box art for the Airfix model, 'German armored car SdKfz 234' also appears in the game. When (on the battle screen) the battle changes to a 'Breakthrough'.

    And another thing, whats the music from the game, Desert Rats vs Afrika Korps doing in the installation of the upgraded propaganda, eh?
    Somethings afoot! That chap can't have a hand in Monte Christo (the DRvAK producers)'s musical developments can he?

    I really am seriously suggesting that not all of this work is original, but not the Ships & planes!

    Hearts of Iron, Holy Smokes!

    So with my fresh install of HOI II DD i downloaded the large sprite pack, music, interface/menu mod, and the German packs, along with the French so far. Can't wait for the Italians!

    However, as i start my Nationalist Spain Mod, i must say that the game has a completely new look to it which is simply AMAZING! I love the music too - original music was just one long song if i recall, but having these1930/1940 era songs really adds a bit of flavor to the game!

    Good work all around! And hurry up with the Italian mods! ;)

    Wait, there's a music one? Oh Thank God! That damn music, though good at first, is now driving me insane!
    For all the plagiarism i have accused you & your team with, I would just like to say,
    thank you.

    Oh, and merry Tuesday!

    I prefer the mod music...unless you copied original files into a new folder, you'll have to uninstall/reinstall or just go into the music folder and get rid of the songs you dont like.

    Im a fan of the minor nations, I don't think I need to download them until the minorities get some part ;)

    I just want more photos for the minor nations! the T-34/cav picture for every unit is a little annoying.

    Fresh install of DD-AA so gonna download some of these mods again. If they don't change the Checksum, all should be good.

    I'm still serious about getting a weekly HOI2 - DD - AA (Doomsday Armageddon) forum game going too!

    Seriously now, lets get a Saturday game going. I can play tonight, and I can play tomorrow *sunday* if some one wants to join me to see if we can it worked out.

    I've downloaded half-a-dozen mods (my connection sucks, so not going to do the 100MB ones until later) and I must say i had forgotten how amazing they look! I've decided I wont DL the Sprite Mod, but I did do the new Skin Mod, All Tech Teams, All Events, Italian, Romanian, and Spanish Mods. Starting a new Italian Campaign and my jaw has dropped, everything looks that much better! :eek: I will see about posting some pics later.

    Mussolini, do you have AA? I really want the mods, but they don't seem to work on AA.
