Hi guys,my great grandfather Al Steward, sadly im not sure what Al stands for-hes from my fathers side and I dont have contact with my father. Anyway I believe he served in the US Army,he faught in ww1 and ww2 and all I know is that in ww2 he participated in the Normandy Invasion,He is buried in the Arlington National Cemetary today.
Is there anyway I can find out what branch of military or unit he was in? Which battles he participated in?
It would mean alot to me if theres any info I could find on him.

    Thanks

With that sparse amount of information, it would nigh to impossible to find your GGrandfather. A full name and serial number would help you immeasurably.

I also reckon this is his Enlistment Record, although his year of birth is given as 1908.
