Hello all my fellow WWII aficionados. I just wanted to say hi and let you all know that there is a new member who might need some time to learn the ropes. So please, be patient with me. I hope to have an enriching and overall good time here.

Hey prof! Nice to have you here! Welcome aboard the Forums. [IMG] I wouldn't worry about being new, just jump right in, everyone here is easy to get along with, and if you have any questions, ask away.

Hello Mr. Professor, does your name hint at your profession?

Anywho, this is the one site out of all that I have tried where I have been fully accepted and respected for my opinions. I don't get ridiculed, don't feel "stupid". I enjoy visiting each and every day.

It was about time you found someone else to do that! Yourself was getting quite tired of so much ridicule… [IMG] :D

Welcome aboard, Professor! Please feel free to read the old topics and refresh the opinions there. Also, new threads are always welcome! ;)

Thank you all. To answer my first question, no I am not a practicing professor as of yet, but hope to be so in the years to come. I already have one question though. How do I enable an avatar? Do you need to be a certain rank in the forum before you have that option?

I was wondering about the Professorship too. Good Luck!

As for avatars, you need 100 posts and then you will be able to select one from the Avatar Depot, which is accessible through the edit profile screen. Which reminds me, I need to finish the FAQ sometime!

    Hmmmmmmm. Martin,

I'm half a lurker so hopefully I won't give you a chance to pounce!! Besides, my knowledge of WW2 is far from specialized so my goal is to not set myself up for it.

My goal has been to keep my knowledge level up to snuff and to absorb as much as possibe. Thanks to folks like you and others I have been able to do just that.
