Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I have been absent from this website for far too long, (at least in the commenting and thread making department) as I've been busy finishing up a semester of community college and work. I have less than two months before I leave on my mission to West Virginia, but I have something I can ultimately look forward too and learn more about upon my return. I have been interested in WW2 my whole life, and began to develop an interest in WW1 around the age of 10, and then Korea and Vietnam at age 14. Over the last two years, my interest in relatively unknown and obscure wars such as the Spanish Civil War, the Russian Civil War, The Israeli and Middle Eastern conflicts, and others, began to grow. It's fascinating to me how about 95% of the wars I have since researched and learned about, can be traced back to either WW1, or WW2, eliminating the base and quite ridiculous opinion that WW2, or even WW1 do not still affect us today. I would like to learn more about these conflicts, to better my understanding of the nations effected, and the continual effects felt today. Here is a list of conflicts I would like to further my understanding and knowledge on, if any of you have sources you could point me too on any of these conflicts, I would greatly appreciate it, and if there is a conflict you feel should be included, please add your input. Russo-Japanese War Mexican Revolution First and Second Balkan wars Irish war of Independence + Civil War Hungarian-Romanian War Turkish War of Independence Polish-Soviet War Chinese Civil War Brazilian Civil War Chaco War Austrian Civil War Second Italo-Ethiopian war 1936-1939 Arab revolt in Palestine Italo-Albanian war 1939 Ecuadorian-Peruvian war Indonesian Civil War First Indochina War Greek Civil War First Kashmir War 1948 Arab-Israeli War Costa Rican Civil War Internal conflict in Myanmar Malayan Emergency Cuban Revolution Algerian War +Civil War Bamileke War First Sudanese Civil War Suez Crisis Ifni War 1958 Lebanon crisis Laotian Civil war Congo Crisis Guatemalan Civil War Iraqi-Kurdish Wars Eritrean War of Independence Angolan War of Independence North Yemen Civil War Sino-Indian War Omani Civil War Sand War Indonesian-Malayasian Confrontation Shifta War Rhodesian Bush War Colombian conflict Mozambican War of Independence Dominican Civil War Chadian Civil War Namibian War of Independence Six-Day War Cambodian Civil War Nigerian Civil War War of Attrition Football War Black September Bangladesh War of Independence Indo-Pakistani Wars Yom Kippur War Turkish invasion of Cyprus Ethiopian Civil War Angolan Civil War Lebanese Civil War Cambodian-Vietnamese War Mozambican Civil War Libyan-Egyptian War Ogaden War 1978 Lebanon conflict Uganda-Tanzania War Chadian-Libyan war Sino-Vietnamese War Soviet-Afghan War Salvadorian Civil War Iran-Iraq War Falklands War Lebanon War Gulf War Rwandan Civil War South Ossetia War Djiboutan Civil War Croatian War of Independence Sierra Leone Civil War Georgian Civil War Bosnian War Croat-Bosniak War Tajikstan Civil War Burundian Civil War First Chechen War Nepalese Civil War Kosovo War First Ivorian Civil War Invasion of Grenada Sri Lankan Civil War Second Sudanese Civil War U.S Invasion of Panama First Liberian Civil War
The Osprey series of books has something on a lot of these. I have their books on The Chaco War and Grenada. Look them up and you'll like it. It's introductory on most things, but they can be a great first step.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions, some of these I understand are very unique conflicts, and finding any material in depth could be a challenge, this is just something that can compliment my main interests along the way.
