After a week mostly away from the internet I almost forgot about Columbus' Day.

Like it or not, many owe a lot to those three ships crossing the Atlantic.

    Cheers all.

If you don't already have adequate stocks of alcohol at home such that you need to foray out to maintain lubrication, you need to demote your quartermaster and implement a new sustainment system.

For example, if I ever fall below two bottles of port or two sixpacks of craft beer, we are considered "dry" and a sustainment sortie is immediately organized. There are minimum "dry" thresholds depending upon the category of alcohol, these thresholds are adjusted up and down based upon season & holiday requirements.

I suggest you adopt this system going forward. It will increase overall operational readiness & subsequent combat effectiveness of the household.

Pabst, still here. And it’s still pretty good, in my estimation. I used to sit in a little country bar on the Eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay in Dorchester County, Maryland back in the summer of 1967 when I would come up from Norfolk on the weekends and drink Pabst with my buddy and put money in the jukebox and listen to Hank Williams. Back then, everybody around there drank Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer.

PBR and Yuengling were staples in college.

If I demote myself any lower I'd be a recruits valet and
I wasn't actually out of stock but just on a replenishment run
I've gone back to Pabst in an attempt to regain my youth and relive that feeling of Freedom. Nothing like pulling up outside a tavern, shouting out to a high school senior, giving him three bucks for a sixpack and popping a tab driving down Main street ! Ahh to be sixteen again

Didn't have the privilege to serve. Graduated in 73' and forces were standing down. Missed my opportunity and my biggest regret.
What was this thread about again!
    Oh Yeah, Happy Italian day.

IMNSHO (In My Not So Humble Opinion), Yuengling Black and Tan is one of the best, large brewery beers out there (60% Dark Brewed Porter and 40% Pilsner). It should be a staple!

How about that new Yuengling Flight beer. May have to try some, my neighbor says it’s very good. Happy belated Columbus Day, I always liked the three sailing ships.

Haven't seen it but going to see the Doobie Brothers in Nashville tomorrow, so I'll order one while pub crawling/pre-gaming to the concert.

I find it difficult to order something I can't pronounce.

Besides, Pabst keeps chugging along () after nearly 180 years so it's gotta be good ? Right?
I have noticed lately I get a he## of a lot more done after three PBR's than I ever did after a Coke or Pepsi.
