    Many years ago @Otto said where the figure in the forum header came from.
    A propaganda poster IIRC though I'm not sure.
    I've searched the forum for mention of it.
    Can anyone find the original image ?
    It's one of those small things that get in my head then bug me until I find out .

    Not the exact same shot, the star is missing. The one could be the source for a painting that eventually graced our forum. We had legions of people working on propaganda then.
