If Hitler were killed in 1939, WW2 would be a very different affair.

    Potentially no invasion of France...

Potentially the end of the Nazi regiem, but I want to know more information, not to speculate on what could have happened :). Thanks for the idea thought.

The Nazi system is still there possibly led by Himmler or worse....

Short of an ASB (Alien Space Bat on another board I am on) stopping Nazism ever rising I dont see any way of avoiding conflict in Europe.

    ASB's ---

I was wondering if Goering took over would he continue the war? Because I think he was the most reasonalby of all the top nazis.

Well, If Himmler took over I would say that the war would be far shorter (he was clueless!), but far far nastier.

I think that was Bormann, who I think was also considered as one of the main candidates to take Hitler's place if something were to happen.

was bromann a main candidate in 1939?..i thought he was more of influence later in the war..and that goering would have taken over in 1939.

germany wasnt ready 4 war in 1939..and it seems many in the german armed forces including goering would not have persude hitlers foreign policy after his death.
