    I'm not the original finder of this site. I visited these artillery shipping canisters via another unrelated site. There are THOUSANDS (5-10) of these shipping canisters stacked in this area, and they're all filled with sand/rocks.

    These are wooden inserts from 75mm and 105mm canisters

    Can anyone tell me of there exact use? They seem to be from between the wars.
