Take a look at this link........ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cricket for any one who doesnt understand, or is interested in every aspect of Cricket, the greatest game on Earth. Naturally what you follow mainly depends on where you were born, in Aus it's Cricket, Aussie Rules and Rugby, in Europe and South America, it's the biggest crowd puller of all, Soccer, and the States it's Baseball and Gridiron [now there's a game that completely mystifies me] A version of Cricket was first played in the 13th Century and is followed today by over 1.3 billion people all over the world. The upcoming ODI World cup is one of the world’s largest and most viewed sporting events, being televised in over 200 countries to over two billion television viewer's. 2003 Cricket World Cup matches were attended by over 600,000 people. Can't wait.
What it boils down to is that football is a simple game for simple minds. Hey, how do I insert a scratch-head smiley here?
Ahhh, it's sad that there's few aficionados of the ''game made in heaven'' on this board. Well fellas, it's your loss, but i'll try and convert a few of you to the subtle beauty of the game if I can. By the way England, thanks to an inspired game by Collingwood, defeated New Zealand and are in the finals of the CB Cup.
At the moment Richard, but with the retirement of so many champion players [Langer, Martyn, Warne, McGrath soon to be followed by Hayden, Gilchrist] it's going to be a very different Test side. And with Symonds out injured, it brings the Aussies back to the field a little in the ODI's. The CB finals might be closer then you think. Welcome aboard QX5454!
Congratulations England on a good win, and a great game by Paul Collingwood. England lead CB series 1-0
Victory is ours lets see a white wash, what made this bad for Australia our one day side is down in 7th or 8th place. The Ashes was a white wash and all credit to Australia but now the tour of Australia has been salvaged.
In one of the greatest reversals of form ever, England [who were tipped to miss the finals] defeated the Aussies 2-0 to win the CB series. Congrats to Freddy Flintoff and his boys. Freddy is a great bloke, and deserved to win something after the disastrous Ashes campaign. Paul Collingwood was sensational. Australia is back in the pack for the world cup now.
i guess during the Ashes it was a 3 day bender of pint downing as the "5 day" test matches hardly made it to the 5th day.
