    I am a collector french (so sorry for my bad English!) And I have a helmet mkII on which a name and number are written:ALLEN WV836 O. BRIEN. J.H.T. COY.

    It proabably would not hurt if the thread was in the Militaria forum. I'll move it for you.

    You might also consider asking your question at WW2Talk.com. There are a lot of knowledgable Limeys there who would be good help to you. Some of them also post here.
