You guys can contact me anytime with icq. Just so you know, I am almost always online, but I have my icq set to show offline to prevent freaky contacts.

A note on security. Information on your profile will be as easy to get as information that is contained in a post. It will take just one more click to get there.

The real danger is that some "email bot" will find your email written on some webpage. An email bot is a program that systematically searches internet pages and looks for email addresses. These addresses are added often added to those dreaded spam email lists. Hotmail members know this all too well, because hotmail sells email addresses to advertisers. Luckily, these email bots cannot search these ww2forums pages because technically, they don't exist. Every page you look at is dynamically created when you actively request the information, email bots can only search passively, so there are no pages for it to see. Just take a look at the address bar, you will see a jumble of letters and numbers, not a webpage document. On these forums email bots do not know where to look, and even if they did, they wouldn't know what they are looking at. Sorry to get a little techincal here.

Erich is correct about email and personal information however, anyone can see what you write, and it is good practice to be aware that literally anyone may find your information. Case and point: A few months ago, I had a wonderful group of Isreali hackers mess up my site because of some images I had in the archives. (Luckily I had backups!) Because of these wonderful individuals I could have lost a year and a half of work! [IMG]

There is no need to be paranoid, (not that any of you are), but always keep your own security in mind while on the net.

BTW, I have a strict policy, I will NEVER divulge any of your information to anyone. (And I have had offers.) There are a few WW2 related companies, (booksellers), out there that would love the contact information of about 300 people they know are interested in WW2.

    Thanks for the warning...

But I have already so much junk in all my bloody e-mail accounts that a little more, a little less does not make a difference...

Hey Otto! Watch out of Yitzak! :D

Now you see why I don't like them?!

    Anyway, thanks for your participation...
