    Hard to say given the period. For example, c. summer 1944 none of the R.-Flotille were based in Calais, although some of the boats likely operated from there. As of 1 June 1944;

    9. Flotille was at Vlardingen
    2. Flotille was at Dunkirk
    4. Flotille was at Boulogne
    8. Flotille was at Brugges
    10. Flotille was at Ouistreham
    14. Flotille was at Dieppe

    So probably 2. or 4., but it could be any one of them. If we could see a hull number that would pin it down.

    Hello Richard,

    thanks, the date would be 1940-1941, preparation Ops Seelöwe

    Interesting...I thought the camouflage was added later. If it was Calais in late 1940 and early 1941 they were probably 4. Flotille, R41-R52.

    Hello Richard,

    thanks again, the problem is that 4. Räumbootsflottille (Boulogne) had another scheme of camouflage at that time.

    regards,

    Cnock

    Ah, sorry about that. If it is the SEELOEWE period you have a limited number of choices, 1., 2., 3., or 11.

    So then you've narrowed it down to 1. or 2.

    Sure, but they did also have a camo pattern similar to this.
