As a little light relief, I thought I'd share this entry from 'The Mosquito Crash Log' : -

    '6/10/44
    HK179 307 Squadron

Swerved on takeoff and collided with Tempest EJ794, Tempest EJ659, a lorry and finished up in the side of the hangar.

    Crew escaped '

What the CO said is not recorded !

    War is hell......
    ;)
