Adapted from Otto's guidelines: 1. I am David and my name comes from email address generated in Gulf War Two when in contact with a friend serving there. I have not been in the military. 2. Now retired, so that makes me over sixty. Ww2 has been an interest, rekindled of late by online research. 3. I am British, although I have traveled widely - including parts of the USA, mainly Montana. 4. Apart from a general interest my focus has been on 'small wars' in WW2, the British-Indian Army and obscure episodes such as the 1946 Indian Army expedition to Iraq and the post-VJ role in French Indo-China. I have had four articles published in 'Durbar' the printed magazine of the Indian Military History Society. 5. No WW2 hobbies, left wargaming a long time ago and a general interest in military fortification post-gunpowder's arrival. 6. I am active on ww2talk.com and plan to raise a request here.
Welcome David. You will probably see some of the same names lurking about here as you do at WW2Talk. They are bunch of Limeys over there, but we like 'em anyway.
