    Here's a picture that summarizes the Ardennes quite well, it was taken last year. This is halfway between Hotton and La Roche (5th Panzer Army crossed the Ourthe near this place; XXX corps fought to take it back from them). As you can see there's forestation in the valleys near the rivers, but wherever it's flat there is farmland. Also you can see how the horizon is a fairly straight line, not at all what you'd expect in hilly terrain.

    reinacters shot in 70s or 80s...geez look at how old the guys are...they are not troops

    My vote is that it is a re-enactment.

    Everything points to these pics. being of a re-enactment. Another clue is this - even allowing for perspective, surely these infantrymen are much too close together together and could be killed by one mortar shell or a single burst from an automatic weapon. In action infantrymen sensibly have at least 3 or 4 metres between them in order to avoid being killed in one group.
