Hi everybody, thought I would share my new bsw ISA, picked it up to go with my cloud box, to make the set complete.
I liked the crimp detail to the catch and hinge.
    Hope you like them together.

    kind regards John

Also picked up this deformed leaf ISA in silver zinc badge.
The crimped hinge and catch is a different arrangement from my bronze zinc version from this maker.
Does anyone know how many fixing versions there are from this maker?
One for stewy or fischer? :)

    best wishes John

Congrats John on getting this one...The Deformed leaf is one of my favorites.

Stewy is correct, this one is a Vertical crimp example.

I do not remember seeing your bronze, please post it again and refresh my memory.

    Best Regards, fischer

PS. Here are a couple of my vertical crimp examples.

Need to ask some help from some of the German collectors. My brother said he and some friends found two cases full of German medals in Bizerte, Tunisia just after it was liberated. He said the cases were wood and about 2ft. square and a foot high. Said they each took a few but have since disappeared. Apparently they were going to be given for the German victory in North Africa! My question is weather the Germans made a medal especially for the North African campaign, like the Eastern Front Medal, or if these were other decorations. He did say they were all the same-whatever they were. Thanks for any input.

As Collector posted, the only one I can think of is the Italo-German Medal. It seems odd that they would be packed into a wooden crate though-unless there were thousands of them that is?

Thanks, I'll print the images and ask him if that's what they looked like. He turnes 90 in a couple months but every time I research what he's written or talked about it's been right on the money. I'll ask him it the medals were in their individual cases and exactly where they found them. If they were individually cased there would be a lot less in each crate. The Italo-German Medal was actually an Italian award that was prohibited to be worn on the German uniform after Italy surrendered, so it makes sense the Germans wouldn't care much about them.

Your probably 100% correct about that medal. I've resisted buying one for the collection because on looking at it, it looks like a couple of Football Players on the medal and-(ill tick some fans off on this part) I loathe Football. However, I do have some 82nd Airborne Div "C" Company Football team pics taken during and after WWII. IF I get a medal such like this one, ill stick with the three "Flower Wars" Medals.

Hi, I havent really been collecting luft badges, but this one has whet my apetite. Bought this two days ago from a small dealer not too far away from me. Price was reasonable. I understand this to be a tomback transitional Junckers flak badge. Comments welcome.

    kind regards John:)
