A man from the British SAS was awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions in Afghanistan. Now, the London Gazette will not ever publish his name, so no record will ever be made of such an award.
Is there anyway at all we can ever find out who it was and what his action was???

    No

Certainly not whilst he continues to serve anyway and never officially until the documents are released, either under the 30-year or 50-year rule. If he leaves he can write a nice book about it and people can choose whether to believe him or not.
