Working on a project and need some help finding out precisely which Japanese air units were stationed on Kwajalein Is. in Jan. 1944. On 1/6/44 5 Jap fighters attacked and shot down a USN PB4Y-1 aircraft with 13 KIA. Can anyone help me figure out which Jap air units might have been involved? Thanks!

you can read what i read here: http://www.j-aircraft.com/faq/japanese_in_the_marshalls.htm
in short it states these units i think...but once again i would question the reliability...

Thanks, Ron. I will check out that site and see what can be learned. Anyone else with information on Jap Air Units at Kwajalein in that time is also asked to post a reply here. I appreciate any help offered!
