Just found this site on Japanese holdouts and small unit actions after 2 September 1945. web page . Not only interesting, but humorous as well. [IMG]

This was sure enlightening. I knew there had been holdouts but not on that scale. Amazing.

I knew there were some but wow. I had no idea that there was that many. I remember reading in the paper in spring og 2005 that they found 4 japanese in the philppines I think. I can't find the article even though I kept it and I haven't been able to find any other info on it. I wonder if there are still more out there. Living out the rest of their lives on little islands. Its weird to think about it. I'd be afraid to go for a hike on Guam. You might get shot be some sniper or something.
