Be nice if they went to the RAF Museum.
"The life of a World War Two fighter pilot was often brutally short – but James 'Johnnie' Johnson seemed indestructible.
Incredibly, the brave RAF squadron leader survived 700 operational sorties, shooting down 34 planes.
And now his wartime diaries, which provide a fascinating insight into the lives of fighter pilots, are about to be sold at auction.
The manuscripts are expected to sell for around £8,000 when they go under the hammer at Cheffins in Cambridge on July 6, The Times reports.
Johnson was part of the RAF team swooping on the Germans during the infamous Dieppe Raid on August 19 in 1942."
