I was wondering what kind of joysticks you fellas use with flight sims. I just picked up IL-2: Forgotten Battles, and I am in dire need of a joystick. Any suggestions?

that is a good one, reasonably priced at that, and it should give you a year or two of good gaming before contact surfaces wear out

Well, my Logitech 3D broke down after about two years. Its a pretty good buy for a bit of casual flying, not to precise or dependable mind you, but gets the job done while it lasts. It also has just about enough buttons to work in Il-2 with a bit of tweaking.

Personally decided to invest a bit more and get a proper stick and throttle this time around, and eventually went for the Saitek X-52. Had it for a couple of weeks, and it actually makes a pretty big difference with a dedicated throttle and some more buttons, switches and modes to play with!

Got back into Il-2 as well, which is great fun, the latest patch adds the Mosquito! Picked up my old career, currently flying the Bf-109F-2 in the Lvov area - cya in Moscow...
