Code named Agent Garbo, who started as a chicken farmer and hotel manager, was a "self made" secret agent who managed to deceive Hitler about D-Day. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/07/11/the-spy-who-tricked-hitler-the-story-of-double-agent-juan-pujol-and-d-day.html http://www.npr.org/2012/07/07/156189716/agent-garbo-the-spy-who-lied-about-d-day
before DVDs/PCs/etc, adventure was something people would do more of or they would read about it.....so being a spy was something 'to do'<>adventure....reminds of of Robert Hanssen, or Chris Boyce [ the Falcon ]<>self made spies, ...really incredible, when you think about it....they know it's wrong, and can get into big trouble[ which they did ] but they still do it......self made, good point.....I've read a few books on Garbo.....your article states he had ''raw imagination'...! he acted/was an ''actor''....I think the majority of people are afraid to 'act' in front of others....sounds like he was living his dream, as the article states he was a dreamer....
"Garbo" was a chicken farmer ?....Theres a German fellow who had the same occupation....interesting. ...
