Hi, I'm a son of a ww2 veteran who's in his 90's now and his memory is fading some, I recently was asking him about his service which is something he never really talked much about so I was surprised when he started to open up. he was in k company-23rd infantry-2nd division, does anyone know of this unit being in north Africa sometime in jan-feb 1945. he said he remembers being there not exactly sure where just that he remembers it was dessert like. he said he shipped out from the us mid jan. 1945. went to north Africa first then to france then into germany where he was wounded in april. i'm wondering about north Africa because what i've read the 2nd division didn't serve in north Africa or am I reading wrong information. any info would be great, thanks. jim
