Kriegsmarine in Sait nazaire

    I had a little thought for Erich when I saw there pics !

    They are all about Saint Nazaire, the Km units apparently took these pics between 1941-1943.

    Interesting Skip the small Boot is not German, could be captured French or ?

    It looks like a French fishermenboot converted in a coastguard vessel. Also this looks like an exercice. The redcross vehicle (note the funny wooden hut on a converted truck) has a crew with two strechers waiting for so called wounded, but the relaxed attittude of officers and crew (arms on hips or crossed or behind their backs ) make me think they are not in an emergency case and have been waiting for a long time and could actually be quite bored.

    I think i've smacked in to that wall a couple of time at full knots! Takes too bloody long to get out of Saint Nazaire! Give me Brest anyday. (Silent Hunter 3)

    Now we know who you are Cac: you served in the Km in 1943 in St Nazaire and Brest :D
