Krup 88 mm Anti Aircraft/Anti Tank Gun

    Don't forget the versatile 88. It was discovered by accident that it could also take on Tanks. Luftwaffe Anti Aircraft Crews were thus trained to take on Tanks as well as Aircarft once it's potency was realised and this weapon was of course used to great effect right up until the end of the war. The best exponent of the 88 probably being Field Marshall Erwin Rommel especially in the desert war from 1941 - 1943.

    Who could forget this weapon Spitfire, and i am pleased that you have started a thread about it, hopefully we can add more to it, it really deserves the mention. :smirk:

    Some good pictures here Spitfire, the 88 looks a powerful weapon in any position .. :ponder:
