    Seems German S-Boat use didn't end with WW 2. A half dozen or so ended up in Spanish service. The last two of these LT 30 and LT 31 didn't decommission until 1977.

    The Italian "copies" survivred as well until the late sixties, AFAIK they were not license built like the article states but derived from captured Lurssen design Yougoslav boats roughly similar to the S2 (the reference to the S14 looks wrong). Italy did receive in 1942 the plans for the then current S26 but none of the planned boats (MS-81 to 86 + 3 more) was actually built.
