hi all can anyone tell me what the letters on these binoculars stand for. i think they are ww1 many thanks
The one mark is the United Kingdom "broad arrow" military marking. The M could be for military or marine (navy). Only a guess.
I believe these are WW1 French Colmont Binoculars. Similar to these French made binoculars, stamped M G (Ministere de la Guerre) and signed by the famous maker, Colmont of Paris. hi thanks for your replies , they are like yours in the picture temujin i tried to load a fall pic of mine but the file was to big! good spot on the letter G i didnt notice that so thanks i wondered what the 5.4 36767 on the brass bit stand for any ideas??
