    With respect,

Without us you would not spend a dime here. We the original members worked hard to keep it alive and grow. I am sad to see my good friends go away. I try to get them back again and again because they loved being here. Now it is gone. I am the last Mohican. And I do not care anymore. You can say who has gone and who has come but in the beginning there was only us. We made it work. Without us there was nobody.

It is a unfortunate fact of life that people come and go from time to time. I'm surprised myself that I have been here nearly 11 years now, over that time I have had to step away from the forum for a period of time twice. I missed it, but real life must take priority sometimes. I try to greet each new member who joins because you just never know who will be a 'keeper' like skipper or burndt, yet they may too be forced to move on. So we must cherish them while they are with us and continue to make this a welcoming place for those who follow them and us.

I've been doing the forum thing since Desert Shield. I don't know how many people have come and gone. It's just the way things go.

Kai, feel free to private message me (and give me a phone call later). I understand what you are going through. You've always been looked up towards with great respect both in terms of WW2 knowledge/passion and personal integrity. Your posts are a pleasure to read and bring critically important insight to the Finnish theatre which is my primary WW2 interest.

I've dealt with many assholes here. Despite being one of the most prolific military vehicle and firearms collectors in the country I've had to put up with bullshit from certain "members" of this forum (most of whom have now been banned). It is degrading to myself, but I keep coming back here because it is overall a pleasant community of like-minded individuals.

I ran a forum at one point which failed due to loss of interest. I am surprised that WW2F has remained for so long. I'm a relatively new member compared to yourself (2010, if I recall correctly) but prestigious members such as yourself, TheHistorian, Takao, lwd, OpanaPointer, CAC, A58, Ulithi, and many others have kept the forum alive. Please don't turn your back on this.

    Best regards my friend,
    Alan

I'm here for knowledge and information. I ignore the assholes, in fact I kind of enjoy banning or muting them. I try to follow those mentioned by Alan and others as well. I've been here since 2009 and have seen many post for a few years then disappear. I guess that's the way of the world.

The German defence might be too tough but I try to break it. That is Friedrich.......;) I am sure he has a peak here every now and then though. He was so into WW2 he simply cannot live without it.

Back in time we were required sources. Looks like it's a jungle out there. I still put my source after new details. What happened? Am I just the grandpa asking for new diapers?? Truly.

Really Biak? There has been some 300 killing shootings in the US already this year. Ready to shoot or run, man? Nice country, you have.
