Without seeing the condition of the rest of the blade it is hard to say but judging from the ricasso pics I'd say that you probably have a $650.00-$700.00 sword there.

The hanger is intact which is a big plus...scabbard leather has a lot of nicks which is to be expected but will bring down the value to a condition collector. It also looks like a small dot of rust is starting to form on the reverse ricasso area...is that really rust?

Leave it as such, you may feed the leather with shoe polish it will protect it and will be less fat than oil. I'd not touch the blade. It really looks fine as such and the acid we have naturally on our skin will harm it more than restore it even if it will look glossy and shiny the first days.

This is a plated blade so you would not be doing any damage by using a small amount of Semi-Crome on it...but any blade with cross graining this would be a big no no.

It looks like there are some finger prints on the blade...you will want to get them off ASPA...eventually they will 'etch' themselves into the blade...really no way of getting them out at that point without ruining the blade.

Whatever you do please be gentle, remember that the sheath is from leather and will have a contact with anything you may use on the blade

The scabbard is made of sheet metal and has zinc runners inside...the blade rests on these runners. The Moroccan leather is stretched over the sheet metal scabbard. The leather would have zero contact with the blade...unless you rested the exposed blade on the scabbard.
