M1 HELMET NEED HELP WITH THE INSIGNIA

got this one too its a vietnam helmet need to know if u think the decals are original ?

hand painted decals, not sure dean, could be..it's the 1st air cavalry division, army logo..

 

How would you know, did they hand paint as well as stencil in vietnam ?

it certainly looks hand painted, as a stencil would be more uniformed in shape, I should imagine..

 

Your first helmet looks good to me, I'm not too sure about the second decal though. It could be hand painted for reenactors, but Vietnam is not my specialty. Just a reminder this is a WWII forum, even if I don't mind a Vietnam helmet from time to time

That's a display helmet or a presentation helmet or an "I Love Me" helmet. The insignia add no value to it.

The helmet liner's are where you would usually expect to find that type of decoration.

Anything less than $50.00 is a good price for a US M-1 Helmet with the "Clip to Bail" chin strap.

As for the Korean helmet, it would make a good Helmet cover display. $20-$30 (US) would be okay

 

I agree that 50 $ is a good price, I'd say 20-30 $ for the second.
