Yesterday I attended the first of the twice yearly Malvern Militaria shows in Worcestershire. It's not a huge event but it attracts a lot of the smaller dealers and quite often has some interesting items for sale. "Can I interest you in a nice SS M40 helmet sir? A snip at just 2 grand!"
One of the more unusual items on offer was an airborne drop frame for a Royal Enfield 'Flying Flea' motorcycle. As demonstrated in the photo below, the motorcycle would be strapped inside the frame and then parachuted out of aircraft along with airborne troops
One thing that was apparent at the show was the crazy rise in the price of deacts. These rare (and very desirable) FJ42s took the top prizes... The top early version FJ42 was on offer for £34,995 and lower late war version was £27,995
